Amberg GEOvis is a cloud-based web platform for the management, visualization, and analysis of geomonitoring projects of any time (e.g. construction sites, railway, tunnel, dams, buildings, bridges, structural health, and more). It serves as the central monitoring platform where sensor data from automatic and manual measurements is imported, processed, visualized, and evaluated. GEOvis is accessible via any web browser on desktop and mobile devices, providing 24/7 access to your monitoring data from anywhere.
GEOvis is a web-based application accessible through GEOvis.io. Each customer receives individual login credentials with customer-specific access rights. No software installation is required – you simply need a standard web browser. The platform is device-independent and works on computers, tablets, and smartphones.
GEOvis provides a comprehensive and intuitive approach to managing monitoring projects. A central overview map displays all projects along with their current status (e.g., OK, offline, warning, alarm, finished). In addition, dedicated dashboards offer insights across all projects, including overall system status and newly triggered alarms.
Within each project, you can organize data into sub-projects (called views), each with its own specific access rights. These views are highly customizable and can include different background maps, overlay maps, drone imagery, DXF files, 3D IFC models, webcam images, charts, as well as structured document and report trees.
The platform is designed to efficiently handle large-scale projects and manage extensive datasets with ease.
There is no fixed limit on the number of user accounts per company or project. GEOvis licenses are issued per company, not per user. The features and capabilities available depend on the specific license type you have.
GEOvis provides flexible user management with different user types and project roles.
Company Administrator: Can add new users, assign them to projects, and set up and manage projects across the company.
Project Administrator: Can configure sensors, elements, reports, and alarms within specific projects.
Each user has customer-specific login credentials, ensuring they only have access to the projects and data they are authorized to see.
GEOvis supports automatic and manual data import. Automatic import from third-party data is handled with scheduled import tasks via FTP or API access. Or is handled with subscription taks (e.g. via MQTT). There is also the possibility to push data from external platform directly via RestAPI to your GEOvis project. The platform includes a watchdog function that monitors import tasks and alerts when data is missing. For manual import, different file formats are available, which can be uploaded by drag and drop.
Yes, GEOvis supports integration with a wide range of third-party systems and sensors for data import, with ongoing expansion of supported integrations. Additionally, GEOvis provides a REST API that allows you to both push data into the platform and pull data from it. Data export is also supported through automated tasks, enabling delivery via text or CSV files to FTP servers or email recipients.
GEOvis supports over 30 predefined sensor types including: Prism, Theodolite, Crackmeter, Extensometer, Inclinometer, Temperature, Piezometer, Pressure, Speed, Solar Radiation, Distance, Load Cell, Voltage, Vibration, Hydrostatic Level, GPS, Rainfall, Flow, Volume, Noise, and specialized types for track monitoring (Twist/Warp, Versine vertical/horizontal, Superelevation/Cant, Settlement). New sensor types can also be added and expanded as needed. Each sensor type has its own symbol for clear map visualization.
GEOvis provides extensive visualization capabilities:
| Data visualization: | Project View Visuaization |
|---|---|
| Timevalue charts | Interactive maps |
| XY-charts | Geo-Refferenced sensor location |
| Convergence diagrams | Custom WMS / WMTS layes |
| Inclinometer charts | Drone Images |

GEOvis provides a flexible and configurable alarm system to ensure timely notifications and effective response. You can define alarm plans with multiple alarm levels, including escalation schedules and acknowledgment workflows.
The system allows you to specify how many trigger events are required before an alarm is executed. Notifications can be sent via email, SMS, or phone call to any number of recipients worldwide.
Alarm statuses are visualized directly on the project map using color-coded sensor symbols, giving you an immediate overview of critical conditions.
The logbook provides a chronological record of all project-specific events, ensuring full transparency and control. It includes entries such as alarms, watchdog notifications, import tasks, and manual notes added by users to document project activities.
Users can enrich logbook entries by uploading images and documents. With labels, entries can be directly linked to TimeValue Charts for better context and analysis. Advanced filtering options allow you to quickly find specific entries by type, author, date range, or labels.
Yes, GEOvis offers comprehensive reporting capabilities. You can create interactive reports with various diagram types, tables, and profiles, all based on customizable templates and user-defined settings.
Measurement data can be exported as CSV files or PDF reports. The platform also supports automatic generation and distribution of reports (e.g., on a weekly basis). Reports can be shared either as PDF files or as interactive links, allowing users to explore them directly within GEOvis.
Yes, as a cloud-based web application, GEOvis is always up to date. Updates are deployed centrally, so all users automatically benefit from the latest features and improvements without needing to install anything. The platform uses standard web technologies and is platform-independent, working on any device with a modern browser.
